The Client: Brandon School

The Challenge: Brandon School needed help developing more effective solutions for several administrative processes. Attendance was being taken on paper for students across multiple campuses, the billing system was time-consuming and unable to produce desired reports, and the calendar couldn’t display the information that people were hoping to see.

The Solution: We eliminated paper attendance tracking and increased the accuracy of on-site attendance across five residential locations and one day location. In doing so, reports from the attendance system could be generated for the billing office, streamlining billing processes, saving time, and reducing errors. Finally, we developed a calendar solution that allowed the school to create recurring events, consolidate student meetings/events into a central location, and offer users day and week views of everything happening at Brandon.

The Client: HouseWorks

The Challenge: HouseWorks determined that considerable time and money would be saved by moving the home modification department’s data from an in-house solution into the Cloud. After the company’s resident IT Manager set up a FileMaker Cloud Server, HouseWorks needed assistance in migrating the data.

The Solution: I prepared and moved multiple files from VDC to FileMaker Cloud and worked with HouseWorks staff to coordinate user performance testing sessions to ensure acceptable performance. The migration caused no workflow disruptions and will reduce HouseWorks’ costs.
